Dozens of beautiful Saxon fortified church, preserved from the Middle Ages are spread over lush hills of southern Transylvania. Biertan, Viscri, Prejmer and many others are part of the UNESCO world heritage. Halfway XII century, a wave of immigrants arrived from northern Europe colonized villages in southern Transylvania. Trade flourished and expanded their settlements, but locals were forced to raise fortifications to face the threat of the Ottomans and Tatars. In total they were built more than 200 such cities, which is a unique architectural and cultural heritage Europe. The most significant and powerful Saxon settlements were the cities of Brasov and Sibiu,and enchanting medieval fortres Sighisoara.
Day 1: Arrival at Tg. Mures. Accomodation at Continental Hotel 3*.
Day 2: Tg.Mures – Biertan-Maranclav- Sighisoara- Viscri- Prejmer- Brasov (271 km)
07.30 a.m – presentation in front of hotel and boarding in the bus. We’ll start together along the route:: Tg.Mures – Biertan-Maranclav- Sighisoara- Viscri- Prejmer- Brasov.We vill visit:
Biertan Citadell , Apafi Mansion from Malancrav, Sighisoara Citadell, Fortified Church from Viscri- Prince Charles’s favourite village , Evangelical Church from Prejmer. Accomodation in Brasov.
Day 3: Brasov-Ohaba- Sambata de Sus- Fagaras- Carta- Avrig- Cisnadie- Sibiu (195 km)
Breakfast . We continue our route, and we’ll visit: The Black Church from Brasov, the First Romanian School, The Mill in Ohaba, Sambata Monastery , Fagarasului Citadell, The Cistercian Monastery from Carta, Bruckental Palace in Avrig,Fortified Fortress from Cisnadie. Accommodation Ibis Hotel 3*- Sibiu.
Day 4: Sibiu- Hunedoara – Alba Iulia (200 km)
Breakfast . In the morning we’ll visit in Sibiu the council Tower, The Bridge of Lies. We continue our route to Hunedoara and Alba Iulia. We will visit also Corvinilor’s Castle.
Day 5: Alba Iulia- Tg.Mures (120 km)
Breakfast . In the morning we will visit Alba Carolina Citadell in Alba Iulia.We continue our route to Targu Mures. Here we will visit: the Palace of Culture, The Prefecture Palace, the Palace Hall, the Medieval Fortress, The Cornesti Plateau – The ZOO, The Orthodox Cathedral, The Rakoczi Scale. Accomodation in Tg. Mures.

The departures for this program are from Tg.Mures, early in the morning – at 7.30 a.m,from ARCADIA TRAVEL agency , Targului street no.2 /1, . Mures county, ROMANIA, or in front of the hotel
The Tourists will be present in front of hotel at least half an hour earlier than the departure time.
The coaches are very well equipped with audio -video system , air conditioning , reclining seats ;
The Coach / Bus makes stops on the trail about 3 hours, or depending the distance of every tourist attraction in part .
The payment advance for sign up is at least 50% from the final cost of the program.
Although every effort is made to operate tours as presented in program, on occasion it may be necessary to make changes to the route . The order of every day visit tourist attraction may change , but we can assure you that you’ll visit every attraction from the program.
